Component Info
Build a continuous carbonated water dispensing system at home! Here’s the high-level process:
- Water Supply: Connect a water line from your sink through an inline filter into a keg
- Carbonation: Attach a specialty Soda Carbonator Lid to the keg with continuous CO₂ pressure
- Dispensing: Connect a faucet or beer tap to dispense cold, refreshing sparkling water
- Refrigeration: Place everything in a refrigerator to keep the water cold
The system automatically refills and recarbonates itself as you dispense water. You’ll need a refrigerator to house the system, and the assembly takes about 3 hours.
Shopping and shipping time: Varies, <1 week
Assembly time: 3 hours
Potential savings
Section titled “Potential savings”Environmental Impact Calculator
See how much you could save by making sparkling water at home.
That's equivalent to:
- -- trees absorbing CO₂ for a year
- -- fewer miles driven
* Estimates based on 12oz aluminum can production, transportation emissions, and average retail pricing (~$0.50/can). Actual savings may vary based on your location and usage patterns.
What is this?
Section titled “What is this?”A fan site for sparkling water! I’m a guy who loves sparkling water and got tired of incrementally carbonating 1 liter bottles. After building my own system, I wanted to share what I learned so more people can enjoy convenient, on tap sparkling water at home.
